Fanta Masters: Vampires of Thire Own

The Lost Boys

Synopsis

Brothers Sam and Michael follow their recently-divorced mother Lucy to Santa Carla to live with their grandfather. The hot-blooded Michael hits it off with a beautiful girl named Star and joins the neighborhood bike gang, while Sam visits the local comic book store and meets some odd friends who call themselves ‘vampire hunters.’ Each experiences eerie incidents that lead to a terrifying discovery: this seemingly peaceful town is a dangerous place at night… This film catapulted director Joel SCHUMACHER, who helmed Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, 8mm, and Phone Booth, to Hollywood fame. It even spawned a sequel in 2008. This unusual and appealing vampire teen flick deftly relies on the conventions of a variety of genres—including horror, teen, family, and coming-of-age movies—to propel its narrative. Moreover, it brings together such 80s teen idols as Corey FELDMAN (The Goonies) and Corey HAIM (License to Drive), as well as featuring ‘Jack BAUER’ (Keifer SUTHERLAND) as a chic vampire. A rare treat for movie enthusiasts. (SOHN Hee Jeong)
