Synopsis

In 41st century, astronaut Barbarella lands on the planet lythion and sets out to find the evil Durand Durand in the city of Sogo, where a new sin is invented every hour. Directed by Roger Vadim and his then wife Jane Fonda played the protagonist Barbarella. This is what happens when eroticism meets Sci-fi.

Roger Vadim was born in 1928, Paris, France. He started his film career as an apprentice of film director Marc Allegret, as an assistant director and co-writer. His first film And God created woman (1956), was worldwide sensation and made Brigitte Bardot a star. His sci-fi film Barbarella was released in 1968, and has since become a cult film.
