Synopsis

The world is filled with crazy and wonderful movies that most people never even heard of. This documentary Not Quite Hollywood is the product of a love for Australian films. A lot of time was dedicated to preparing the documentary on Australian New Wave films in the 70"s and low budget films in the 80"s, along with one-on-one interviews with numerous directors and actors. After several years of research, director Mart HARTLEY compiled films filled with sex and violence that had been branded as vulgar and unpleasant by critics. Directors and actors of such films lend their voice to tell interesting behind-the-scene stories and reminisce. In particular, Quentin TARANTINO eagerly participates in the interview, making a fervent speech about the films that had a great influence on his movies. The cream of this film is the highlights from movies unknown to most people! (KIM Jong Chul)
