Synopsis
A dying merman asks a friend to give his remains to his daughter, hiding amongst the humans. Tasked with this dangerous journey, the merman secretly heads to the land of humans. He is chased by a new civil servant recruit fueled by curiosity and hatred.

PARK Syeyoung
Born in 1996, Park Syeyoung is a filmmaker based in Seoul, South Korea. He graduated from Korea National University of Arts Film major (BFA), Video Arts major (MFA).
His first feature film the Fifth Thoracic Vertebra won three awards at the 2022 BIFAN, a Best Feature Prize at 2022 Seoul Independent Film Festival, a Special Mention for NEW FLESH COMPETITION FOR BEST FIRST FEATURE - Debut Films at 2022 Fantasia Film Festival and selected for NOVES VISIONS section at 2022 Sitges Film Festival, selected for Critic’s Week at 2022 Berlin Film Festival, selected for New Worlds section at 2022 Torino Film Festival and more. The Fin is his second feature film.

Oh Heejung grew up in South Korea, and her life is divided between Seoul and Amsterdam. She founded Seesaw Pictures in 2017, a boutique production company with a slate of award-winning films. She has (co-)produced films selected for prestigious festivals such as Sundance Film Festival, Berlinale Film Festival, Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival, Copenhagen Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival, and Hot Docs Canadian Documentary Festival. She loves working with young and established filmmakers with strong artistic visions and sensitivity. She is an alum of EAVE(European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs), Eurodoc, Rotterdam Lab, and Berlinale Talents.
