In the 1970s, a budding Indian rockstar, poised for stardom and about to embark on her inaugural international tour, is unexpectedly detained at Heathrow Airport. There, she endures the imposition of a ‘virginity check,’ demanded to prove her eligibility for a UK Visa. Haunted by the experience, she is forced to return home to confront the impact of cultural expectations and the personal demons that come with it; with the aid of a nincompoop imaginary friend.



Ananth Subramaniam, a Malaysian filmmaker of Tamil descent, often explores his ancestral identity and family dynamics through his films across multiple genres. His recent short, The House of Brick and Stone, premiered at Fantasia Film Festival, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, London Short Film Festival and Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia(SSFF & Asia). His other work Liar Land, received the Special Mention Prize at the Locarno Film Festival.



Bel Choo Mun, the visionary behind Sixtymac Production, embarked on his journey in 2009 as a cinematographer and film director. Since then, he has evolved into a film producer, captivating audiences with his latest short film The House of Brick and Stone showcased at prestigious film festivals. Currently, he is developing his first feature as a producer. In 2021, he assumed the esteemed role of steering committee member for the New Asian Producers Network (NAPNet).
