Synopsis
A middle-aged Korean man Daewon visits Indonesia with his young wife Yuli, who was ‘imported’ from there as his bride a decade ago. His first visit to her maiden home takes an unexpected turn when their daughter Dami suddenly falls ill. His mother-in-law and Yuli perform a curing ritual on Dami, which seems all too dubious to him. His suspicion grows as his younger son Youngjae develops the same symptoms as his sister. Daewon flees from the ritual with his son, only to be seized by Yuli’s tribe and witness the hidden truth about the rite and its offering.

SINN Kirin
Sinn Kirin is a visual arts-based film director and screenwriter. After graduating from Korea National University of Arts, she worked as a creative director and visual arts planner in the advertising industry for over 10 years.
Her latest short film Abnormal Prime Time was screened at film festivals in India, Nepal, Thailand, Spain and Indonesia. Currently, Kirin is developing her debut feature film Maiden Home, with colleagues she met in 2022 NAFF Fantastic Film School.
Producer
Thim Kian CHENG
CHENG is a Malaysian Chinese film director, screenwriter and producer. Most recently, he co-produced Stone Turtle by WOO Ming Jin and had its world premiere and won the FIPRESCI award in 2022 Locarno Film Festival.
He has been selected for the 2016 Asian Film Academy, Golden Horse Film Academy (2018), Busan Asian Film School(AFiS, 2021), and lately Fantastic Film School at BIFAN.
Saurav GHIMIRE
I have 3 years of experience in Nepali Film Industry as the director, assistant director and editor of 1 feature and 8 short films. I have built network by attending international filmmaking workshops in Korea, Denmark and Serbia. Currently, I'm shooting short film in Masters degree at LUCA School of Arts. My film, Barking Dogs, has been awarded Best Experimental Film at 2021 Tasveer South Asian FF.
Grégoire GRAESSLIN
He works for Kinology, a French sales and production company that represents European feature films with international talent such as Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers and Leos Carax's Annette among others. He directs short films Helix Aspersa (Locarno FF) followed by Junie (Brussels Short FF). He will shoot a new film this year, while developing two feature films.
