Synopsis
Over the summer holidays, Sujin, a high school student looks for a job to tide her by. But only one offer gets back to her - a well-paying babysitting job posted by Minhee, a successful business woman and single mom. Despite fumbling her interview, Sujin is thrilled to discover that she lands the job, only to meet her new ward - Hana, a little girl, curiously draped in a white cloth with cutout eyeholes.
Sujin’s summer vacation begins, and in spite of her shy nature, Hana likes to play, leading to a series of increasingly fraught encounters which unnerve Sujin. On Minhee’s urgings, Sujin begins to play Hana’s games in a bid to earn her trust, pathing the way to unravel a terrifying secret, in which Sujin’s sanity is tested and her personal demons brought to light.

NAKANISHI Mai
Working mainly in the horror genre, Mai has worked with some international genre stalwarts namely producing the Japanese segments for The ABCs of Death 2 . Her directorial debut HANA, a minimalist horror short which was shot in Pusan has been invited to festivals including Sitges, BIFAN, Mumbai and has won the Best Short in Sweden. Besides her filmmaking pursuit and her full-time work as a film buyer, she keeps herself busy running a female-driven genre film festival in Tokyo.

HUANG Jun xiang
HUANG Jun Xiang has produced Eric’s KHOO In The Room(2016) and Ramen Teh(2018) and BOO Junfeng’s Apprentice(2016) which premiered in Uncertain Regard, Cannes. More recently, he has started to produce genre work, including Mike WILUAN’s Buffalo Boys(2018) along with HBO Asia’s horror Anthology, Folklore(2018), which travelled to festivals including Fantastic Fest, Sitges, Toronto and Series Mania.

Gorylah Pictures was established in 2009, with the aim of creating an independent horror and fantastical genre label. Focusing on young, emerging talents from Asia, Gorylah Pictures has developed genre works including the Mo Brother’s Darah(2009) (Bucheon - Best Actress, Sitges, Fantastic Fest) and Gilbert CHAN’s 23:59(2011).
