Synopsis

Ben is raised by his father, in a remote house in the woods. The Father has told Ben that when he was a baby his mother was killed by monsters and since then the monsters want to kill them, too and he must go out to the forest every day and stop them. Every day the father locks the boy in the house and vanishes into the forest for hours, carrying a shovel. One day the boy sneaks out of the house and sees his father burying someone alive. The father explains that monsters take on human form in order to reach their house and that this is the only way to stop them - to bury them alive - because humans can't kill monsters.
