A Dutch couple, Ruud and Sofie, comes to Brussels for the tour of the Belgion capital. An African taxi driver offers them his services as their taxi guide. Displaying some bizzare opinions about the city, he shows no respect for the passengers and takes them to places against their will. He even draws a gun in the process and harrasses the female passenger. The terrified couple manages to escape the menacing driver, but the next guide they meet is even worse. Los Taxios is about the reversal of roles. Instead of providing the service expected of him as the guide, the driver refuses to conform to his role. As the plot develops with its unexpected turn, the tone of the film changes from its initial excitement to sudden apprehension and finally, to fear. The fact that last scene is shown upside down emphasises the theme of this comical yet startling film. (HONG Sung-Nam)
