Program Note

When Capital City is threatened by a hostile take over by Mr. Storm, his three wives and political party of tyrannical homophobes, it is up to Adam, a hair stylist to save the world. With the power that lies in his make up bag and styling kit, Adam must bring down Mr. Storm in style before he wins the election. Adam must fulfill his destiny to become Madame X.

Director

Lucky KUSWANDI

Lucky Kuswandi was born in Jakarta in 1982. He studied cinema at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Lucky has made many short films such as Still’ (2005), Black Cherry (2005) and Letter of Unprotected Memories (2008). When he came back to Jakarta, Lucky was active as one of the organizers of Q film festivals, the one and only LGBT film festival in Indonesia.
