Program Note

A young man is hurt, extremely ill, he has complete amnesia. Jaime, a psychoanalyst, finds him naked close to his cabin in the woods and decides to help him. He takes him to the hospital and they find out that the boy doesn’t exist on any documents. As Jaime continues to investigates, he finds out that the young man is registered in different hospital under different names, but now, it appears that the young man officially doesn’t exist in this planet.

David RUIZ

Born in Mexico, he studied at Monterrey University an undergraduate program on Information and Communication Sciences. In 1998 at the age of 24 he started his filming carrier by directing musical video clips for well-known singers, such as rockstar Alejandra Guzman. From this moment on, how his friends and collaborators knew him, started a climbing adventure trough the tough cinema world. He worked side by side with Spanish artist Miguel Bosé, Argentinean funk band Illia Kuriaki and the Valderramas, Kumbia Kings, and Mexican mega band Intocable. When David Ruiz realized he has a real “something” for video production, he began to feel real attraction for other filmmaking leagues. The Advertisement and Movie business, was about to receive an addition focused and dedicated cinema lover. After accumulating experience, he produced the romantic comedy called Inspiration with Mexican outstanding actress Barbara Mori. He was also part of the crew for the movie My brother´s women as an acting coach. Thing are about to get serious for him. The Last Death is a psychological thriller produced by Lemon Films, written and directed by “Letxe” places him as one of the hottest directors in Mexican Filming industry.
