Program Note
Lonely Stefan wants to make friends. One day he stumbles in the woods and accidentally finds a diamond in a pit, but for some reason he can’t reach it. To solve the problem, he uses a neighbor, who happens to be tiny. The Diamond is a story about the exploitation of foreign immigrants, told with interesting fantasy metaphors.
Director
Vedran RUPIC
Vedran Rupic is a director living in Sweden. Originally from Bosnia, he came to Sweden as a refugee. He started doing films in high school when he gave up on his dreams of becoming a scientist. Documentaries at first, but much like science, you can't make stuff up, so he started doing shorter narrative work.
