Program Note

To exert more tyranny and suppression, the ruling power does something to its dissenters that makes them exhale smoke when they breathe. A driver, who mainly carries contraband, is asked to help a young dissenter slip across the border, but deciding to help the young man changes the course of their lives. Don’t Breathe is an interesting hard-boiled fantasy, with remarkable metaphors and satire about violent society.

Director

Milad NASIM SOBHAN

Born in 1989, in Yazd Province, he has gotten his Masters degree in Graphic Design from The University of Art Tehran. Since 2012, he has started academically educating himself in the art of scriptwriting and movie making at Hilaj Independent Cinematic Academy. In 2015, he released his first short film, Mobile (2015), as an experiment in the industry. Biannually since the release of Mobile, he kept releasing other short films.
