Isa and her friends go on a trip to the Carnival of Venice. They enjoy every nook and cranny of Venice, and the gorgeous Venice Masquerade ball for a short time, and then her friends start to disappear one by one. When some are found dead, it turns the trip into a nightmare. While searching for the missing ones, Isa and her remaining friends discover the dark underworld of Venice, the world’s top tourist destination. Veneciafrenia is the first film of ‘The Fear Collection’, horror anthology project launched by Pokeepsie Films and Sony, Amazon Prime, with the master of horror, Álex de la Iglesia. Blended with tourist horror, giallo, comedy and conspiracy theory, Veneciafrenia provides a banquet of genre pleasures throughout.
