Program Note
In a certain society, communication between parallel worlds is commercialized. Gyeong-sin communicates with herself in a parallel world and learns of a special kindergarten for her son. Just like his feature directorial debut, Socialphobia (2014), director Hong Seokjae unravels a realistic story of children’s education in a SF setting through Gong Min-jeung’s superb acting. HONG Seok-jae
Born 1983, he has made several short films as a student of Chungang University, Department of Film. He participated as an assistant director to the Encounter on the Sea (2009) screened in 13th PiFan. Election was selected to final of the Mis en scene Short Film Festival’s The Forty Thousand Blows section.
