Program Note

Joy and sorrow, darkness and light. Where does it all begin and end? We are the writers of the endless story of life guided by destiny, on the path to infinity.

Program Note

This film makes a new attempt to interpret a vague concept of ‘taboo’, which changes over time, with a face-off between two men over a pair of boots. A strong contrast of black and white and a bleak desert in the background adds power to daring straightforward narratives. It seems that this film itself is an ambitious challenge to taboo. Also, the last words of the guy who lost the fight have a profound significance, worth thinking over. (HWANG Hye-min)
