Program Note
An international research group is searching for natural resources from the Arctic Ocean. They pick up a strange underwater sound from far north, and start to follow it to the uncharted waters.
Director
Joonas ALLONEN / Antti LAAKSO
Both of them are talented directors from Finland. They both graduated from Turku Arts Academy. Joonas Allonen specializes in stop motion films, and his films mostly focus on mystery, horror and eccentricities. Antti Laakso tells the stories of underdogs and tries to bring a humorous aspect through his characters’ tears.
