Program Note

Extraordinary Tales is composed of five stories of Edgar Allan Poe, each crafted in a graphic design style uniquely suited to the individual segments and inspired by visual artists and illustrators, whose style best expresses the psychological depth and complexity of Poe’s dark universe.

Director

Raul GARCIA

Born in Madrid, Raul Garcia is an internationally recognized Spanish animator. He directed The Tell-Tale Heart, co-directed The Missing Lynx (Goya Award for Best animated feature 2008), and worked as an animator on several classic Disney features including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and Fantasia 2000.
