Program Note
Impressive debut by Natalia Meta with this high-voltage erotic thriller. Detective Chavez, a family man and a tough cop, is put in charge of the investigation into a homicide that took place in the most exclusive circles of high society in 1980s Buenos Aires. The Film depicts the exciting gay underground scene of the 80s in Buenos Aires.

Natalia META
Natalia Meta studied Philosophy at Universiade de Buenos Aires (UBA). She worked as a screenwriter and was associate executive producer of the film One Love (directed by Paula Hernandez, 2011) and The Acacias
(directed by Pablo Giorgelli, 2011, Camera d’Or winner at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival). Death in Buenos Aires is her feature-debut film.
