Program Note

The global gemstone market is thrown into turmoil when a famous American figure named “Melon Risk” declares, “I will cause diamonds to fall like rain from Neptune to Earth.” Korean gem dealer Kuhyuk also faces his worst day ever. This intense day unfolds rapidly, reminiscent of the proverb, “A frog dies by a stone thrown unintentionally.” The conclusion that arrives after this hardship effectively conveys the emotions experienced. JEONG Ki-yeon

Born in 1998. Majoring in Department of Filmmaking at Korea National University of Arts(KARTS). His second short film, The Great Clarke (2022), was selected for the 26th BIFAN, and he directed The Strange Case of Neptune, selected for BIFAN ‘Goedam Short Films Production Support’.
