Synopsis

Years after the Irako-kai boss deceased, two of the rival syndicates conclude a so-called “peace” treaty. Uebayashi, a yakuza who is sick of this familiarity, shows no mercy even to the seniors of his own syndicate. Police Detective, Hioka utilizes any means to stop his devilish act.

freelance assistant director for filmmakers such as Isao Yukisada and Isshin Inudo. He made his feature debut in 2010 with Lost Paradise in Tokyo. His following films are The Devil's Path (2013), Twisted Justice (2016), Dawn of the Felines (2017), Birds Without Names (2017), and The Blood of Wolves (2018), which was invited to BIFAN. In 2019, his work on A Gambler’s Odyssey 2020, Sea of Revival, and One Night won him Best Japanese Director in the 93rd Kinema Junpo Best Ten.
