Jittsint PONGINTARAKUL
Born in 1980, Jittsint Pongintarakul graduated from the Film Department, Rangsit University. In 2004, he started working as an assistant director for his father’s films, and became screenwriter and assistant director for many other films. He made his directorial debut in 2009 with In Country Melody 2. After that he felt that directing comedies like his father is not his own way so he distanced himself from the film industry. He had worked as an executive of a television station, but quit his job and returned to filmmaking in 2018. In 2019, he had an opportunity to start working on the film Dark World which is scheduled to be released in July 2021. He is also directing another romantic comedy film which is scheduled to be released at the end of 2021.
