Program Note

Seungin is the best fighter at school and he hates to lose, but actually he is concealing his loneliness. Pacifist Hyuntae, who doesn’t want to fight anyone, is Seungin’s only friend. Their characters are poles apart but they are precious to each other. However, their relationship becomes awkward, as they get involved in a fight that even involves local gang members, as well as the pecking order at school. Hyuntae, who is far away from this conflict, starts his own fight in order to get closer to Seungin again. While Hyuntae is becoming a fighter, Seungin is getting more and more lonely as Hyuntae changes. Through fierce action and fight scenes, Boys Be!! intensely yet delicately depicts a world of children in which violence at school and fighting in the street are the norm, and adults know nothing about it.
