In a small village of Valencia, Fishmonger Lolín has a magic foresight while decapitating fishes. One  day she prophesied that Amadeo will have only seven days to live.

Program Note

Middle aged Amadeo hears from a fishmonger that he is going to die in one week. Knowing the fishmonger’s prophecies have never been wrong, he prepares to make his farewells. It comes as a surprise for Amadeo then that he is still alive after a week, but how come he didn’t die? Set in a small village in Spain, The Beetle at the End of the Street reveals through witty imagination why the fishmonger’s prophecy was not fulfilled after all. (Gina KANG)
