Program Note

A baby is born with antlers, and his father cuts them regularly. The boy has grown up to cut and trim his antlers on his own. One day, he goes deer-hunting with his father only to realize the inner horn cannot be cut out. This film includes metaphor about identity that is bound to be different from others despite an attempt to hide. Its unconventional story, shocking visual and cold yet refined images reminding the audience of winter in Eastern Europe surely stand out. (MO Eun-young)

Katarzyna Gondek, is a film writer and novelist, who was born in 1982 in Kwaszko, Poland. She has not only published poetry and short stories but also received film and ary-related education. Her latest Short film works are Hosanna (2013), The Figure (2015).
