Synopsis

Giovanni is a boy from a poor family, who delivers papers to feed his sick mother. He gets on a train to space and undergoes a fantastic adventure. A masterpiece that has its origins in the similarly titled fairytale by MIYAZAWA Kenji.

SUGII Gisaburo

He made the TV series Mighty Atom (1963-1964) and directed the feature Jack and the Beanstalk (1974) as his debut film. One of his films, Stormy Night (2005) is a story about the friendship between a wolf and sheep.
