B.I.G. NAFF 2019 Fantastic Film School,
the First-Ever Educational Program for Fantastic Films,
Announces This Year's Lecturers & Participants!


Together with Chris LEE, who will be acting as the dean,
7 lecturers have been confirmed!

 
The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival’s (Festival Director: SHIN Chul, hereafter BIFAN) 12th Network of Asian Fantastic Films(NAFF) has confirmed the lecturers for NAFF's 2019 Fantastic Film School - the world's first educational program of fantastic films.

NAFF Fantastic Film School is a solid educational program where participants will learn about the rapidly changing film production environment through lectures from five global film industry experts and team pitching sessions. The lecturers for this year include Mike MACARI ; Producer of <The Ring>, <The Invisible>, Annick MAHNERT ; Producer, Acquisitions consultant and festival programmer of Screen Division and programmer of Fantastic Fest, Kailey MARSH ; Creator of BloodList, Barry SABATH ; Senior lecturer at AFI, Joe YANICK ; Co-founder of Yellow Veil Pictures, Landon ZAKHEIM ; Programmer for the Sundance Film Festival.
 
In addition, Chirs LEE who has produced films such as <Valkyrie> (2009) and <Superman Returns> (2006) is invited as the dean of this year’s Fantastic Film School and will be supporting the team workshops for participants. Alexander O PHILIPPE who opened up new horizons for Cinephile documentaries will be having a master class with his new movie <Memory: The origins of Alien>.

The Fantastic Film School will be held for 7 days from June 28 to July 4 at Bucheon Art Bunker B39; Over the 7 days, the participants will take part in a class on scenario, a master class, and workshops. They will also participate in lectures that cover a wide range of topics such as production of genre film, packaging, and sales & distribution. Through the various lectures and programs, the aim is to help creating an effective global network that will allow the participants - who are composed of promising filmmakers - to go out into the global film market.

The 23rd Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival will be open for 11 days from June 27 (Thu.) to July 7 (Sun.), with B.I.G being in session for 5 days from June 30 (Sun.) to July 7 (Sun.) in Bucheon.
