Synopsis

The brothers are coming back to the PiFan this year with , a supernatural horror about a blind person. This film is stylish beyond expectation. Particularly notable is the powerful sound and its precise timing; it is obvious that sound conte had been meticulously planned out. As in , traces of Wong Kar-wai can be felt in the camerawork and the pace of the editing for . However, the skillful direction that manipulates the mood of the film is a new aspect found in this film. The two feature films by the twin brothers are similar in some aspects but different in others, much like fraternal twins. After receiving corneal transplant, Mun sees more than she should. Whenever a figure in black appears, there is a wailing sound. Foreseeing other? death in advance is equally terrifying as looking herself in the mirror, where another woman stares back. Mun manages to find out that these strange, terrifying incidents are caused by the rancor of the woman who donated cornea. Mun sets out on a journey to help the woman to rest in peace. If the Pang Brothers?first feature was a Thai version of the Hong Kong action film, is a Thai version of the Japanese supernatural horror. The plot may be reminiscent of Japanese supernatural horrors, but the Pang Brothers, having honed their skills in the Hong Kong advertisement industry, goes beyond the genre with brilliant MTV-style visuals. The captivating camerawork doubles the thrill of the movie. (Kim Seyoon)
