Makoto Shinozaki is both a film director and a professor at the Rikkyo University College of Contemporary Psychology. His first feature-length film, Okaeri, won 11 awards abroad, at the Berlin Film Festival, and at the Montreal World Film Festival. His major projects are Not Forgotten, Walking with the Dog Asakusa Kid and so on.
