Synopsis

Ilgon, a funeral instructor with big debts, is shaken by the gold teeth in a dead body. When he starts pulling the gold teeth and out selling them, he faces a terrible reality. In such a desperate situation, human desire cannot know its limit. The fear effect is visually and audibly unraveled cleverly through the gold teeth, presenting surreal terror beyond just being scared of debt. (Martin LEE)

Director

YOON Eunkyoung

Director Yoon Eunkyoung was born in Seoul, Korea, and majored in Educational Psychology at Ewha Womans University, Film Studies at Chung-Ang University, and completed a filmmaking course at Vancouver Film School in Canada. Starting with her first feature film Hotel Lake (2020), she has been trying to mix genres such as horror, thriller, and mystery. The Tenant (2023) is her second feature film.
