Program Note

Terror of Mechagodzilla is the 14th lm in the Godzilla franchise. Mechagodzilla was created by aliens after analyzing Godzilla’s weaknesses but was still defeated, so a stronger version is made for yet another showdown. This film sees Godzilla as a hero saving the weak. Sadly, with Hollywood blockbusters becoming ever more inuential, the Showa Godzilla series ends here.
