Program Note

When a group of Indian and Pakistani nurses are held hostage in Iraq by a terrorist organization, a secret agent Tiger is drawn out of hiding to rescue them.

Program Note

Tiger who everyone thought died in Cuba 8 years ago came back alive! A sequel to Once There was a Tiger, a box office grosser in 2012 that dealt with romance between an Indian agent and a Pakistan agent. One of the three Khans in India, Salman Khan, plays the main character. This action drama got inspiration from a true story of 46 Indian nurses who were held hostage by ISIS in Iraq in 2014. It made revenues of KRW 90 billion to be two times more successful than the record-breaking original film. 40 Indian and Pakistan nurses, who were dispatched to Iraq, are held hostage in the hospital by an armed group called ISC. The U.S. plans to do an air raid even though civilian casualties were evident in a communistic city, and India prepared a rescue operation by gaining one week time. Tiger was hiding away in the Alps in Austria capped with perpetual snow together with his mom and son. However, he was thrown into the rescue operation in the desert at the call to defend his country. The viewing points include background music continuously causing feeling of tension and the action of sneaking in and rescuing to stand up against the cruel terrorist group. (PARK Sung-ho)
