Program Note

This is the story of superheroes who are all trying to attain and protect what is most precious to them. Family is the only thing that binds them, but as they stick to their separate missions, dark secrets threaten to destroy everything they hold dear.

Program Note

Director Joyce Bernal of the Philippines produced numerous TV dramas and comedy, action and romance films. In this slapstick superhero film, the superhero Gandarra protects justice by brandishing his lipstick stick. In the process of punishing a madman who turned into a supervillain, his younger sister goes missing and he himself suffers from amnesia. Therefore, the other heroes hid the identities of Gandarra and the innocent son of madman from the Second Coming of the Devil Mino as ordinary people and had them live just like an average family. However, time passed by and madman’s son reached 21 years old and realized he possessed superhuman strengths. He started to sweep some thugs out of heroism under the name ‘Rapiddo’. Heroes who worried about the revival of Mino succeeded in bringing back Gandarra’s memory after undergoing trial and error. In order to rescue the humanity and Rapiddo, Gandarra once again fulfilled his obligation as a superhero. Filled with lots of comic elements, such as parodying the existing superhero movies and making light banters and cross dressing. It is a storyline that the audience can follow easily that emphasizes the importance of family with a warm happy ending. This film racked up KRW 11 billion in revenues thanks to familiar faces playing the roles and the fame at the Metro Manila Film Festival.
