Program Note

A woman talks to Hyun-o with pleasure, but he has no recollection of meeting her. Leaving her embarrassed, he finds a pebble in the pocket of his old coat, which makes him remember her appearance from behind.

Program Note

Either I know her or do not. Do I know her or not? There is a man who cannot at all remember the existence of one woman. But for others, he may be a stranger, too. Unknown Woman is like a daydream, which happens in a gallery exhibiting pictures of women seen from behind. It is a film of relationships and existence. You thought you knew someone pretty well, but at some point, he comes to you as a complete stranger. Maybe we would not know each other forever. Just like the faces of the women that will forever remain unknown because they have turned their back on us. (MO Eun-young)
