Program Note

Mrs. Drusse spending her later years obsessed with spiritualism feels the spirit of a young girl Mary's is wandering at the Kingdom hospital where she's hospitalized. Later Mrs. Drusse also finds out the sad story around Mary's death. As her spirit becomes to appear more often, the corrupted past of the hospital starts to be revealed. (1th edition)

Born in 1956, Danish director Lars Von Trier began making short films at the age of 13. After graduating from the Danish Film School, he directed the critically acclaimed Kingdom. Then Trier numerous films including Dancer In The Dark (2000), Dogville (2003), Melancholia (2011) and Nymphomaniac (2013).
