Program Note

Fourteen years pass since “6-4” case, or the child abduction murder case in 1989. With only a year left until the Statute of Limitations, another kidnapping is reported. The kidnapper’s demand for a ransom of 20 million yen in the large suitcase shows inevitable similarities with the 6-4 case.

ZEZE Takahisa

Born in 1960, Zeze Takahisa began making independent films as a student at Kyoto University. Good Luck Japan (1989) is his debut film as a director. He has been active in both television aries and feature films. His filmography includes Heaven’s Story (2010), Life Back Then (2011), and 64 Part 1 & 2 (2016).
