Born on May 5, 1975 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, Yoshida graduated from Tokyo Visual Arts. After working as lighting director for director Shinya Tsukamoto, he works now on his own films as director and screenwriter. His features include Raw Summer (2005), Mugiko-san to (2013), Bashauma san to biggu mausu (2013) and Silver Spoon (2014).
