Program Note

A new teacher finds that his student is being bullied. The girl retreats into a fantasy world, finding solace in the forest with a strange wild boy. The teacher struggles to bring her back. The worlds of fantasy and reality clash with tragic consequences.

Paul SPURRIER

He began his career at the age of eight as a child actor. By the age of twelve he was one of Britain’s’ best-known child actors. At the London International Film School, Paul expanded his skills by studying all aspects of filmmaking. Paul was the director and editor of Underground (1998), his first feature project. P (2004), which was shown at over twenty international film festivals including Edinburgh and Bucheon. P was released theatrically in over 20 countries.
