Program Note

Mizushima is a high school girl longs to be a photographer. Her friend, Sue, also has a dream of becoming an astronaut. They know what reality is and are struggling whether giving up their dreams or not. The teenage girls now decided to wish upon a shooting star.

Director

KATAOKA Shoh

Born in 1982 in Hokkaido. His short film Jellyfish Boy (2010) received the Silver Award at Pia Film Festival in Tokyo and won the Grand Prix at 7 other Japanese film festivals. He wrote the screenplay of Yellow Elephant (2013) directed by Ryuichi Hiroki and directed his first feature film, 1/11 (2014).
