Program Note

Takuro Hibinuma had no talent for sports or aptitude for studying through out high school and never had a girlfriend. However, he found his true calling when he began playing rock music. He formed a rock band named ‘Rock n’ Roll Brothers” with his friends. After graduation, they move to Tokyo and begin playing live shows. One day Takuro meets a world-renowned idol singer named Saki Utagawa and his fate is irrevocably altered when she asks him to write her a song.

Born 1979 and graduated Nihon University College of Art. His first short film Obsession was shown at Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in 2003. He also made TV drama and TV commercial. And in 2007 he made his first feature Japonica Virus.
