“Women in Comedy, Loud and Fabulous” is the third installment in the series of BIFAN’s special programs that focus on genre films and women, the first two being the 21st BIFAN’s “Terrible Women: Monsters and Villainess” and the 22nd BIFAN’s “The Women Who Leapt Through Time: The Representation of Women in Sci-fi Films.” Noteworthy female-led comedy films from the 1930s to the present day were selected, and female actors from comedic films, such as Marilyn Monroe and Moon-hee Na, will be looked at from a new perspective.
