Fantastic Short Films 17 - SF BONG-BONG Club : Here, Next year- Wonder Kiddy

Most novels and live-action films approach the SF genre by staying loyal to its original meaning – science fiction. For that reason, they start from a place of understanding a scientific concept to some extent before setting up and expanding their story. Animated films, on the other hand, tend to approach SF as science fantasy. As a result, instead of staying true to science itself, these films merely appear to be scientific, or they go one step further and pretend to be scientific while unfolding as a fantasy where super biped robots transform and combine with other robots, and a spacecraft that is really no different from a battleship or an airplane, launches itself into the vast universe in the blink of an eye. Independent animations take it every further by redefining science fiction as fiction and fantasy while enjoying the "Copernican Revolution."
