Synopsis

Late one night, a mysterious man wrapped entirely in bandages appears at the Circle of the Bereaved. As his strange slips of the tongue continue, the people gathered there begin to suspect him. When tensions finally erupt into violence and his bandages come undone… the man is Vegetableman!
Since Frankenstein in the 1930s, “monsters” have always been portrayed as outsiders and villains. They embodied the fear of the unknown, often through a prejudiced lens. But now, in 2026, when we understand others far better than before, has the way we treat those who are different truly changed? Vegetableman cynically reflects the cold gaze that modern society still directs toward outsiders by borrowing the style and conventions of 1930s monster films.
