Program Note

Airi, a spiritual medium capable of communicating with the souls of the dead, accepts a request that brings her to an isolated country house, where she is greeted by a woman who desperately claims a ghost has haunted the home since her husband's passing, though her son dismisses the incidents as nothing more than grief-induced delusions. Left alone in the house to uncover the truth, Airi begins a ritual to summon the spirit, but what reveals itself before her is no ordinary departed soul—it is a bizarre, grotesque, and formidably powerful entity far beyond human explanation. This supernatural horror film proudly reunites director Dave Boyle and lead actor Kento Kaku, the creative duo behind the hit series House of Ninjas, for an exhilarating new collaboration.
