Program Note

Two sisters with a contentious relationship decide to rob a rural home in upstate New York. The simple robbery turns into a nightmare when one of them throws out her back and becomes immobilized on the second floor. The night spirals out of control as they embark on a painful journey to escape before the homeowner returns. An original comedy-horror movie with a silly (yet amusing) premise, Drag is Raviv Ullmann and Greg Yagolnitzer's feature directorial debut that nonetheless delivers effective, absurd comedy with increasingly tense chills and thrills as the film progresses. Lizzy Caplan pulls off a tour de force role as a robber suffering from a back injury who literally drags herself throughout the film. John Stamos (Uncle Jesse of Full House fame) plays the charming owner of the mansion she burglarizes, whose peculiar interest in art reveals his horrific nature. (Jongsuk Thomas Nam)
