Synopsis

In 2000, "Mungchi" became a global sensation as the star of the hit children's program Mungchi and Friends. However, for reasons unknown, the actor behind the character has long refused to remove the mascot suit. As rumors swirl regarding their true identity, Mungchi finally takes off the suit. Director HONG Seung-gi—celebrated at Fantasia and Sitges for giving voice to the indefinable in works like Chaehwa and Monstro Obscura— returns with a new vision. This film brings to life yet another presence, channeling a nostalgic affection for the era of CRT televisions and Teletubbies.
