Program Note

Agnes is a woman chasing after the love of her life, but whenever it seems she has achieved her goal, her determined stalker intervenes to thwart it. The star-crossed lovers must unite to resolve this curse, as Agnes goes through multiple reincarnations over centuries to fulfill her consummation for romance.
Timestalker is Alice Lowe’s triumphant return as a director, eight years after her shocking debut, Prevenge (2016). Her second feature is an entertaining, historical sci-fi romantic comedy fully displaying her comedic talents. The film also combines her biting humor with surprising surreal subversiveness, violent mutilation, grotesque imagery, and more. Nothing’s off-limits for Ms. Lowe as she creates a fun and ambitious ‘Monty Pythonesque’ feature. (Jongsuk Thomas NAM)

Alice LOWE

Alice Lowe made her screenwriting debut with Sightseers (2012), in which she also starred. Prevenge (2016) was Alice's stunning directorial feature debut. She wrote, starred in, and directed whilst 7-8 months pregnant. Timestalker (2024) is her sophomore Directorial feature.
