Program Note

The theme of this film is ‘our responsibilities and hope for the future.’ Improvement Cycle was created by using generative AI technologies. Created images by Midjourney and then Runway Gen2 generated videos from these images. Music was also created by generative AI, Suno, and then lyrics generation was created by ChatGPT. YAMAGUCHI Hiroki is a film director, AI creator, and illustrator based in Tokyo. His first theatrical feature, Hellevator (2005), was the official selection at the 5th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. He is known for Bloody Chainsaw Girl (2016) and Torinoko City (2017).
