Program Note

Miso meets the relatives on her mother’s side for the first time in ten years when she recalls a childhood memory. As a big fan of an animated series called Sailor Moon, Miso once followed her cousin Seungkwan into his room because he said he would teach her how to transform into one. How much of the memory is true? It happened during her childhood when she lacked knowledge and awareness of sex. She does not remember the actual sexual abuse, but the wound does not heal easily. The memory she locked away embodies a time of violence and pressure toward women. (LEE Hwa-jung)
