Program Note

Strange things happen in the closed toilets of Eunhee’s old school, where she was deputy head girl. Hayoung and Soyeon, who used the place as their hideout, believed there was a ghost there after they heard a humming sound echoing in the toilet, even when no-one else was present. With a plant pot discovered by chance as evidence, Hayoung believes the mystery is linked to Eunhee, and after being accused, Eunhee suffers from visual and auditory hallucinations. She is also convinced that she was called there after seeing female students with injured faces all over her old school. Whispering Corridors, which continues the traditions of Korean horror movies, has returned. With the sixth series and another new story, bizarre events keep occurring at the old school that has deep secret of its own. This film tells the story of an old wound that someone has to recall in order to make up for the past and show remorse. Kim Seohyung’s heartfelt acting in the role of Eunhee adds a trailing note to the film, and we see some new faces set to continue the Whispering Corridors series. (MO Eun-young)
